Ring & Respect’s Mentoring Program Shows Results With It’s Remote Workers
As soon as I decided to move to a work from Home a (WFH) platform I knew that I had to find multiple ways to manage staff, bring inclusion, create open doors and create mentoring opportunities. Here is what we are currently doing and some ideas we are also exploring to create that perfect WFH platform.
First we have created a staffing pyramid that allows current staff that have passed certain hurdles to recommend new hires and get a reoccurring stipend from all wages made by that new hire. First the new hire must meet and maintain certain quality milestones and then that person can place them in their downline and start making bonuses based on that employee. This also creates a bind between the two staff members and a great opportunity for the two of them to mentor each other.
We allow a qualified employee to have up to 12 people in their downline effectively creating a small mentor group inside of the company that crosses project lines, jobs, staffing levels and much more. It creates a family inside the family. It allows for the family to nuture each other and provides for inclusion and creates open doors.
We have found that the best employees bring us the best applicants so we have taken that mentality and owned it. As we open new projects it also allows us to grow quickly and the people being brought on as new hires have a better understanding of the culture if R&R as the person who recommended them has already told them a lot about the company. We find those employee prospects are much more informed and educated than the average applicant from an online ad.
Next we are using several applications to track work, non productive times, take random screenshots, time tracking for payroll and much more. We are now looking at games to create more inclusion between staff and we are ramping p more social media that fits the type staff we are hiring.
So the average employee has a supervisor, manager, client, HR person, mentor, applications and more looking over them to make sure they succeed. The WFH agent has more touches per day than the person in a brick & mortar building does. Each touch makes that person feel included in the companies culture of Ring & Respect an increases production for the client and creates a happier workforce.
