Judge Judy is well known for her sayings like the one in the title and she uses them to try to get her points across to the people in her court. But most of the things she says can be very true in life and debt collection as well. I have been training debt collectors for decades and many years ago I began to teach listening skills.
Listening skills are the most important part of communication with anyone. Your ability to get the message across to someone depends as much on their ability tom listen as it does your ability to clearly state the point. Most collectors do not listen and we call that a beach of RESPECT here ar Ring & Respect. We take each possible breach of respect very seriously and strive for no breaches. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than our clients do for a reason we do truly respect our cellists and want to give them more than they contract for.
Respect is part of our daily lives and we strive to extend that to everyone we touch during the day from clients to co workers.
